Kristen Johnson Ingram has written and published extensively across a wide range of genres, including short stories, poems, "doctor's office" booklets on health and well-being, devotionals, and about two thousand newspaper and magazine articles on health, travel, folklore, history, religion, interview, essay, nostalgia, how-to, psychology, domestic violence, and personal growth.
Kristen is the author of twenty nonfiction books, including Wine at the End of the Feast (Loyola 2003); Beyond Words: 15 Ways of Doing Prayer (Morehouse, 2004); Devotions for Debtors (Doubleday, 2003), Devotions for Nibblers (Crossings Book Club 2004), and the gift book I'll Ask My Grandmother: She's Very Wise (Barbour, 1999). She has also published two murder mysteries, Angel in the Senate (Multnomah, 1998) and Rule of Silence (PublishAmerica 2003).
Forthcoming books include Transformations: Women’s Journeys into Three-Dimensional Christianity (2005) and Making Peace with a Dangerous God (2006), both from Fleming H. Revell, co-authored with Linda Clare.
When she isn’t writing or teaching writing, Kristen enjoys travel, photography, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Ron, their five grandsons and great-granddaughter, and her eighteen-pound criminal cat, Grendel.
